Joyce died peacefully and without pain on Tuesday 3rd June 2014 at the age of 88. She was always a very selfless and compassionate person and supported many charities through her lifetime and particularly Oxfam to whom she devoted countless hours of volunteer work. It is typical of her to have left an expressed wish that rather than people sending flowers to her funeral they might instead like to consider sending a donation to Oxfam.
